Matador Club: The Matador Club Ballroom was opened in 1964. It served as an after hours venue and hosted such notables as Johnny Cash, Stompin Tom, kd Lang,  Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen and many more iconic artists.  The club closed in 2010 and is slated for demolition to make way for a condo development.

Liberty Village Jailbird: Liberty Village was once home to the brutal Toronto Central Prison, a maximum security facility that opened in 1873 and was closed in 1915. It is said that Liberty Street got its name as it was the street prisoners would walk along after release.

Subway Beaver: remember that time a beaver walked into the subway station at Royal York?
